West Wicklow Community Employment CLG aims to provide local opportunities for the social, cultural, educational and economic advancement of the people of Kiltegan, Rathdangan, Knockananna, Baltinglass and surrounding areas.
Eligible participants, once approved by the Department Of Employment Affairs and Social Protection join WWCE and complete valuable work within their community also engaging with their designated supervisor on a 1:1 career path. Training is organised to fully support each person’s individual career path.
The West Wicklow Community Employment (CE) programme is designed to help people who are long-term unemployed (or otherwise disadvantaged) to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements in jobs based within local communities. Participants can take up other part-time work during their placement. After the placement, participants are encouraged to seek permanent jobs elsewhere, based on the experience and new skills they have gained while on a Community Employment scheme.
Intreo is a single point of contact for all employment and income supports. Designed to provide a more streamlined approach, Intreo offers practical, tailored employment services and supports for jobseekers and employers alike.
